Vacancy Details and Requirements

Submission Deadline: 04 October 2022 COB

Term: Term to begin upon appointment by Council and expires on 02 January 2024

At the 07 September 2022, Charleroi Borough Council Meeting, Borough Council took official action to accept
the tendered resignation of a Council Member.

  • Borough Council announced plans to seek a successor by advertising through a public outreach
    campaign. Pennsylvania Borough Code dictates that applicants for this office must be a registered
    elector of the Borough with continuous residency in the Borough of Charleroi for at least one year
    immediately prior to the appointment.

Letters of interest, will be accepted through 04 October 2022, no later than 4:00 p.m. COB

Basic Candidate Legal Qualifications:

  • Continuous residency in the Borough of Charleroi for at least one year immediately prior to the
    appointment
  • Registered elector of the borough

Required Council Meeting Attendance:
Borough Council meets every month on the first and second Wednesdays at 6:00 PM, as well as other
meetings as they arise.

Manager/COO/COA, 338 Fallowfield Avenue, Charleroi, Pennsylvania 15022. Individuals opting to submit

Submissions received that are deemed incomplete or received after the deadline will not be considered.

Next Steps:

  • Borough Council will hold an agenda meeting on 05 October 2022, at 6:00 p.m. to consider qualified
    submission
  • Borough Council will vote to fill the vacancy at their regularly scheduled meeting on 12 October 2022,
    at 6:00 p.m.
